Cavalry Adds Six Strikers to 2021 Roster

Bryan-College Station, Texas (May 6, 2021) —The Brazos Valley Cavalry FC are excited to announce the addition of six new strikers to the team’s 2021 roster.

The first is junior Ronaldo Brown. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Brown was a four-time Manning Cup Champion in high school. Across four seasons, Brown notched 40 goals to become the school’s all-time leading scorer. After high school, Brown played for Northeast Texas CC where he was named All-Conference and All-American as a freshman before being promoted to team captain for his sophomore season.  Brown netted 38 goals across the two seasons. He is now playing his first season at Loyola Marymount University and holds another two goals and two assists there.

Next up is Creggton Charlton from Loyola Marymount University. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, Charlton has had quite the travelling soccer career. After graduating from Clarendon College in 2019, where he was named the NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Year, Charlton transferred to the University of Cincinnati to become the team’s leading goalscorer with 6 goals. After Cincinnati's discontinuation of the men’s soccer program, Charlton made the switch to Loyola Marymount University.

Third is sophomore Emanuel Santos from the University of Memphis. The Houston native did not see game action his freshman year, but played for multiple clubs throughout high school, including the HBU Huskies, the Houston Dynamo Academy and the Texans DA. Throughout this time, Santos added 20 goals to his resume. Since joining Memphis’ starting roster for the 2020 season, Santos has taken six shots on goal, three of which have found the back of the net.

The fourth new striker for the Cavalry is junior Fernando Flores of Monterrey, Mexico. Flores is no stranger to College Station as he played his high school career at A&M Consolidated. After graduating from the Tigers’ offense, Flores joined the Lubbock Christian University soccer team. He recorded three goals and three assists across 19 games his freshman year, then led the team his sophomore year with nine goals and another four assists. Four of these goals were the game-winning shots. Flores was selected to the All-Lone Star Conference First Team, D2CCA All-Region First Team, and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team. Flores currently holds a collegiate total of 16 goals with the Chaps.

The next addition to the roster is Fabian Becerra, a junior at Loyola University Chicago. Before playing collegiate soccer, Becerra competed with the Texas SC club team, where he notched 12 goals and 24 assists, eventually helping the team capture the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Title in 2017. Since joining Loyola’s team, he has recorded 8 goals and 5 assists, averaging 2.67 per season. Becerra has since been named an ALL-MVC Honorable Mention, and has taken a whopping 53 shots throughout 42 appearances on the pitch.

The final Cavalry member to join the team is Antoine Recizac, a senior at Mississippi College. The France native played high school soccer at Braeburn High School in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was named the school’s Athlete of the Year. Recizac then began his college career at Leeds Trinity University in England, leading the team to the league’s very first championship. During the 2020 season, Recizac scored three goals, helping Mississippi College outscore its opponents 14-4 on the year.

Clutch Entertainment is excited to provide these players the opportunity to further develop their skills and compete throughout the summer. The Cavalry FC kicks off their season on the road May 16th against Corpus Christi FC, and their Home Opener will be May 22nd against Round Rock SC.
