Bryan/College Station, Texas – April 20, 2018 – With the season fast approaching, the Brazos Valley Cavalry FC are thrilled to add three new players to the roster. Harry Swartz, Christian Duarte, and Christian Clarke will all be looking to make a statement in 2018.

Harry Swartz, a redshirt junior at Northeastern, aims to continue a long history of PDL success down in the Brazos Valley. Prior to signing with the Cavalry, Swartz played in the PDL with Ocean City Nor’Easters in 2015 and FC Boston in 2016 and 2017. In his first season with FC Boston, Swartz led the team in both minutes played (1,098) and games played (13). Swartz’s second season in Boston included PDL Team of the Week honors after a registering 3 goals in Week 8. After accumulating 12 goals during his past two seasons at FC Boston, the Cavalry FC cannot wait to see Harry under the lights in Texas.

Christian Duarte, a graduate of CSU Bakersfield, joins the Cavalry with a wide array of experience. Duarte has enjoyed time with Portland Timbers 2 of the USL and most recently, divisional rival Oklahoma City Energy U23. During his four-year career at CSU Bakersfield, the Houston native amassed 13 goals and 11 assists over 78 appearances. The Cavalry FC are eager to see Christian’s impact this coming season.

Christian Clarke, a junior defender at Colgate University, will wear red and white in his return to the Brazos Valley this summer. As a focal piece for Houston FC in 2017, Clarke led the divisional opponent in minutes with 1,166 across 13 games played. Playing experience was also a strength at Colgate last fall as Christian finished second with 2,143 minutes. Adding 2 goals and 3 assists for the Raiders, the Cavalry FC are expecting a big impact from the Houston native.
